Today in the US it is National Wear Red Day.

Well the answer is I care about heart disease. It’s amazing how little we know about it and how few of us realise just how serious it is. I’m a busy Blisse, I really am. I’m busy writing Naughtier Rendezvous right now because Leaana and Joe have been screaming for their own sequel since Terri and John got theirs. I’m up to 14k and I’m not far off the end. Oooooh, it’s a good’un folks. Joe just gets hotter and hotter! Hopefully soon I’ll be announcing when it’s going to be published but I guess i better finish it, edit it and send it to my editor before I start thinknig about that, eh?

I’m really excited, it’s like going on my holidays from the comfort of my sofa!

Now, on to another unlikely Hero. Today, Over The Moon was released from Total-E-Bound in Print.

Lowell is the hero of this piece, but you’d never guess it. He is a werewolf who hates what he turns into every full moon. He hides away from the world, convinced that he will hurt someone if he doesn’t. That is until he meets Jenny and then everything gets out of control.

Lowell always looked forward to his Friday meal in the canteen. It was simple and satisfying, and it helped him feel normal. Normal people went to the canteen for their lunch. All right, he timed it so there wouldn’t be many people around, but it still made him normal, he’d convinced himself of that.

He had lived in isolation for about five years. He could not risk being around people at all. Once a month, he turned into a hungering, insane beast, and he couldn’t risk anyone being close enough to him to get hurt. He was beginning to enjoy being alone. Who needed social interaction, anyway? Other people only had annoying opinions and boring lives that they insist on telling you all about. He had thoroughly convinced himself he was best off alone with only his computer and the servers for company. They were pretty predictable and easy to deal with, to boot.

At first, he was purely irritated that some woman was taking her lunch break so late. She breezed into the canteen with her shapely body and bouncy, red curls and filled the room with her sweet, apple blossom scent. It really put a guy off his rhythm.

However, when she asked if she could sit beside him, he found her impossible to resist. She had been a pretty girl from a distance, but close to, she was beautiful. Her eyes were this deep, seductive emerald green, and they glinted like real jewels, and she smelt good enough to eat. Her red hair just called to his fingers, they wanted to stroke and grab and pull at it. Her skin was pure and milky, and she had the kind of curves men only dreamt about.

The conversation did not flow as well as Lowell wanted it to. He was obviously a lot rustier than he’d imagined. He couldn’t believe Jenny had been at his school and knew who he was. He was sure if he’d seen such a beauty back then he’d have smoothly chatted her up but then he remembered how he’d really been in school and realised if she hadn’t hung with his crowd, he wouldn’t have noticed her at all. He had been such a dickhead back then.

Somehow, though, he managed to invite her on a kind of standing date, and she accepted. Lunch down in the dungeons was not the most romantic of places, but Lowell was determined to do his best to get to know that girl a little better.

It wasn’t until he’d left the room and her scent began to fade that Lowell started to think straight. He was not allowed to get close to anyone, least of all a pretty girl. Had he never seen horror films? It was always the pretty girls that died the gruesome deaths.

Yeah, I’m talking about writing, what else did you think I meant?

It’s very difficult to describe the difference between the days when inspiration is readily available and the days when it’s not. I could compare it to bowel movements but that’s just kind of icky, I could compare it to a trip to the supermarket too, sometimes you have an abundance of produce to choose from and you get everything on your list. Other times you go and you just can’t find what you want. But nothing really can convey to you how random it can be.

Some days I wake up ready and raring to go and other days the last thing I want to do is write. Luckily this week I’ve had more good days than bad and I’ve actually gotten quite a lot done. I’ve had lots of editing to do and that is not my favourite chore but it is done and I always feel better for doing it even if I hate the actual process!

Then I ended up in the wonderfully pleasant position of being able to choose what I wanted to write. More often than not I simply have to work on deadlines. I like deadlines, I’d never write a thing if I didn’t have them but then I always seem to leave things to the last minute and so I end up having to write alot in a relatively short period of time which always leaves me feeling a bit burnt out.

So I looked around for submission calls and found one I fancied. All the better I remembered a sweet little story I had on my hard drive that might just fit the bill. I had remembered right, the story was perfect but needed expanding so I set to it. Now generally, I will write in short bursts. I tend to get a flash of inspiration that is followed by a lull and so on and so forth but the other morning it came just the way I like it. I wrote and I wrote and I wrote and just over an hour later I had written 1.5k and almost doubled the length of my story. Even better than that, I’d written enough to hit the word count limit and the story was finished.

Oh what joy filled my heart. That is just how I like it, fast, furious and with a great conclusion! The next day I edited up the little love and sent it off. I’ll let you know how it goes. I am sure you’ll love it, it’s such a dirty, sweet, sexy spanking tale which lifts the heat level right up up to scorching!

Now on the theme of writing and me liking it I want to share some good news with you. Today I got an email from the wonderfully talented Alessia Brio and that email told me that my story “Double The Pleasure” will be included in Coming Together:As One.
How cool is that? This anthology will benefit ONE the campaign to end global poverty. I do so love doing my bit for charity with smut. It is satisfying on so many levels!

I love the Coming Together Anthologies. I was in on it from the start, oh yes. My Story, “not what you see, what you feel” is right there In Coming Together Vol.1.

And I’m in Coming Together:Under Fire to with a story called Flaming Hot.

And now another one, yay! I’m excited.

I appreciate all the reviews I receive, even the not so positive ones because there is always something to learn from them and it gets my name out there. However there is definitely an extra special thrill whenI receive a review from a fellow author. Saskia Walker is an amazing writer and she has written some lovely compliments for my story Moon Shy in her review of the Over The Moon Anthology. This is what she says:
