As promised here is the second hot excerpt for the day AND a chance to win a copy of my sweet and sexy seasonal story, Christmas Cake.

Sweet and spicy, and that’s just the cake!
The festive season is in full swing, but Emily hates it and just wants it over as quickly as possible. Jim finds out why and shares his Christmas with her, and she uncovers her Christmas Spirit as she rediscovers her lust and sexuality. Includes a short selection of sexy holiday poetry!
Valerie from Manic Readers gave Christmas Cake 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and had this to say about it:
Christmas Cake by multi-published author Victoria Blisse, is an inspiring “taste” of the holidays. A supremely stirring story of the disillusionment that many of us experience as we grow older, this short story reminds us all that Christmas isn’t about toys or electronics, but about living, loving, helping and holding on to one another.

And now, here is a little snippet from this sweet festive story for you to enjoy.
It’s amazing how much can change in just a day. I’m in a new friend’s bathroom preparing to climb in his bed. I’ve been held at knifepoint and given my attacker a job. Yes, days like this don’t come round very often. I regret my choice of nightwear now, but I really just pulled out the first thing that came to hand.
It’s not only that it is a shapeless, floral nightdress with old fashioned lace at the collar and cuffs, but looking at myself in the bathroom mirror I notice that the material is almost transparent, if it weren’t for the tactfully placed pink posies, I’d be showing off more than I’d be hiding. Well, there is no time for regret, now.
I run over to the bedroom, take a breath, and open the door. I walk over to the bed and leap in it without even noting where Jim is in the room.
“Well, I’ve never had a woman so eager to get in my bed before.” He laughs even more when I look up and find Jim clad only in his underwear. I try my hardest not to stare at his tanned torso or anything lower than that, either.
“Well, I’m a bit embarrassed by my nightwear,” I admit.
He chuckles. “So, when I tell you I can’t sleep on any other side of the bed than the one you’re on, you’re not going to be happy, are you?”
“Oh, right, shall I shuffle over, then?”
“If you don’t mind,” he replies, grinning.
“Sure, yes, of course.” I find it impossible to move over with the blankets clenched to my chin, and so I have no choice but to let them drop to my waist. I hear his sharp intake of breath as I move over, and I keep my eyes lowered to the navy blue bedspread, but I can’t help but notice the swelling beneath his boxers as I lower my gaze.
“Thank you.” He steps over to the bed. I keep my eyes trained on the bedspread as he lifts the blankets and lies down next to me.
“Have, have you got enough room?” I stutter, smoothing down the cool cotton with my shaking fingers.
“Oh, plenty,” he replies. “Shall I turn off the lamp?”
“Uhm, yes, please.” I relax as everything goes dark and I wriggle down below the covers. “Well, goodnight then.” I face towards the wall, my back to him.
“Goodnight, Emily. Sweet dreams,” he replies and the room goes quiet, not silent as I can hear my own breath and the dull tick-tock of the alarm clock. I close my eyes and attempt to sleep, it should be easy. I’m tired and it’s well past midnight, but like a child I find sleep just will not come. I close my eyes tighter and will myself to sleep, like I did when worried that Santa would not come if I didn’t sleep, but I just can’t nod off and now I’m uncomfortable.
The more I try to relax the more it seems to irritate me. I can’t lay like this anymore. I’ll have to roll over. It’ll be okay, Jim will be asleep by now surely and a new position might just be all I need to drop off.
I turn over and end up nose to nose with Jim, but before I can apologise I feel his hand rest on my hip and his head tips and he’s pressing his lips to mine. My mind goes blank. The apology is wiped away by the insistence of his kiss and the weight of his fingers as they lie on my hip. My hand presses out and rests in the hair of his chest. My fingers trail through the springy forest and the gurgling groan it elicits thrills through my body like electricity through an open circuit.
I don’t know if I moved closer to him or vice versa or if we were pulled together, but my arm moves up and over to his shoulder as his chest presses up against my own. His hair tickles me through the light nightdress and my breath catches at the back of my throat. His lips slip down from mine and trail across my cheek and over my chin, dipping down onto my neck, and every fiber screams, wanting more. It’s like I’ve been lost in the desert and I’ve trickled the first drop of water onto my parched tongue, wetting it and making it thirsty for more.
“What, what are we doing, Jim?” I groan as he nibbles on the place where my neck and collarbone meet.
“Making love.” He groans…
